Overview
Over the course of two days, USAID will host a series of webinars to dive deeper into different approaches to partnering with USAID. The webinar series will be held in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Russian.
The webinar series will be hosted by USAID’s Industry Liaison. The event will be promoted across the Work with USAID communications channels as well as the main Agency handles.
As a part of each webinar, an overview blog will be produced for the WorkwithUSAID.gov platform. Each of the webinars will be recorded and posted on the Work with USAID Youtube channel and embedded in the blog.

Agenda
Day 1: July 16
9:00 am to 9:55 am: Working with USAID 101
Session Overview: This introductory session will provide an overview of USAID, discuss how the Agency awards its funding, share where to find funding opportunities, provide tips and guidance for engaging with USAID, and will walk through WorkwithUSAID.gov. If you are new to working with USAID, this is a great opportunity to get a 101 course on partnership.
10:00 am to 10:55 am: Understanding USAID’s Priorities – Deep Dive into Country Development Cooperation Strategies
Session Overview: This session will help prospective partners understand how USAID sets its priorities in each country by diving into Country Development Cooperation Strategies.
11:00 am to 11:55 am: Registering to Work with USAID as a Non-U.S.-Based Entity
Session Overview: To partner with USAID, organizations must be registered in a number of different Federal systems. This session will highlight how non-U.S. based organizations can get registered to partner with USAID.
12:00 pm to 12:55 pm: Partnering with USAID as a Private Sector Entity
Session Overview: USAID collaborates closely with the private sector to drive growth, reduce risk and advance sustainability goals. This session will explore how private sector companies can work with USAID to advance both commercial and development objectives, grow international markets and strengthen global supply chains.
1:00 pm to 1:55 pm: Working with USAID in Humanitarian Response
Session Overview: USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance is the U.S. government lead for international disaster assistance, reaching tens of millions of people around the world each year with life-saving aid. This session will explore how to connect with BHA as this Bureau works to provide humanitarian aid in response to crises, set foundations for longer-term recovery, and strengthen local resilience by preparing for and reducing the risks posed by shocks.
Day 2: July 17
9:00 am to 9:55 am: Opportunities for Local Entities to Work with USAID
Session Overview: Locally led development is the process in which local actors – encompassing individuals, communities, networks, organizations, private entities, and governments – set their own agendas, develop solutions, and bring the capacity, leadership, and resources to make those solutions a reality. Join this session to learn more about how local organizations can drive their own development in partnership with USAID.
10:00 am to 10:55 am: The Development Innovation Ventures Program
Session Overview: Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) is USAID’s tiered, evidence-based, open innovation program that funds breakthrough solutions to the world's toughest development challenges. DIV supports innovators around the world working in all sectors and with all types of organizations (for profit, NGO, etc.), including ones new to USAID. Participants will learn about DIV’s approach to funding innovative global development solutions, who can apply, where projects may be based, core principles, assessment criteria for each stage—or level—of funding, and the application process and timeline. Join this session to learn more about applying to DIV!
11:00 am to 11:55 am: Faith-Based Partnerships with USAID
Session Overview: USAID’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships works to build bridges between USAID and faith-based and community organizations to advance shared development and humanitarian goals worldwide. During this session you can learn more about USAID’s approach to faith-based partnerships, its new Strategic Religious Engagement Policy, and opportunities for collaboration.
12:00 pm to 12:55 pm: Working with USAID as a U.S. Small Business
Session Overview: The Agency's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is responsible for monitoring USAID's implementation and execution of the small business programs and advising the Administrator and senior leadership in this regard. In addition, OSDBU can help to provide guidance and information to small businesses looking to work with USAID. Participate in this session if you are a U.S. small business interested in working with USAID.
